We’re excited to announce a new partnership with faculty from NMSU’s ACES College and the GROW program! Through this partnership, we will deliver monthly educational sessions via Zoom, featuring both live options and recorded sessions for everyone to access afterward.
We invite additional conservation partners in natural resources, law, policy, and research to partner on future online trainings for our students. To get involved, please reach out to our Educational Coordinator, Rachel Portillo.
In this area of study, students will learn about soil development, rural and urban conservation practices, landuse planning, and more.
In this area of study, students will learn about species identification, wildlife ecology, habitat management, and more.
In this area of study, students will learn about marine and freshwater ecosystems, identify species, and assess water quality.
In this area of study, students will understand forest and plant based ecosystems, forest inventory and management techniques and more.
Every year students learn about a leading environmental or natural resource issues facing our communities. This year's topic is "Renewable Energy for a Sustainable Future".
Teams are given a real-world scenario in which they must apply all 5 topics into a presentation where they are judged by a panel of professionals on the merits and delivery of their conservation plan.
